Silence is Golden

Silence is golden, how precious it can be
I can hear sounds of waves breaking on the sea
When all is quiet, things come to mind
Sounds you can't hear all the time

I can hear the wind and the rustle of  leaves on the tree
Oh, how wonderful these sounds can be
I also hear silence as a sound in the night
Its so still and so very quiet

Then a rooster will crow and a dog will bark
Silence can't take this, so from our presence it must part
But it'll be back at another place and time
When all is right and quiet, it will come to mind

Take time to hear all the wonders around you
take a walk, don't speak just listen and hear
all the things you never heard before in silence
