My Son

You are my boy and always will be my precious son
No matter how grown-up you think you have become.
I was always there for you and still am to this day
Never when you were young were you ever in my way.

We always had a good time doing what Father and son do
You are still my boy, yet a man and I am very proud of you.
We still have so much in common and that's the way it should be
As I was always there for you, now you are there for me.

I was close to my Dad, and instilled that love in you
I can tell it's there because of what you do.
You always think of me and check on me every day
You are very special, a true son in every way.
