Momma's Grave

As I stood by her graveside, the tears fell to the ground.
Then I heard a voice so softly speak, child please look around.
So I lifted up my head, looked to my left and then my right.
There stood my Mother in a robe of glistening white.
A smile came upon my face as I saw her standing there.
A look of joy and happiness, not a problem or a care.

Momma said  don't you weep for me, I'm on my heavenly flight.
Here comes the Father with Jesus on His right.
I hear the angels singing the songs of joy for me.
So child just be happy for heaven I will see.

I said Momma when you get to the table save me a seat.
Now I know all my loved ones I will get to greet.
As I stood there, those around didn't understand.
But I knew right beside me, Momma held my hand.
As she let go these words again she had to say.
To fill my heart with happiness for another day.

Child now don't  weep for me, for I'm on my heavenly flight.
Here comes the Father with Jesus on His right.
I hear the angels singing the songs of joy for me.
So my child just be happy for heaven I will see.
