Memories of time

Minutes, hours, days have gone by
Time is rushing, time sure can fly.
Get up go to work and home into bed
Don't fear time, use it to get ahead.

Days, months, weeks and years
Far behind me, joys and fears.
No need to worry about today
Wait long enough it will go away.

No need to worry or to fret
Tomorrow's coming, on this you can bet.
Tomorrow, just a thought as it comes to mind
Then just a memory, left behind.

Can't hold on to today
Just as you catch up, it slips away.
Throw back your head, laugh even cry
Memory of years just pass you by.

Think of what you want to do today
But you must hurry before it gets away.
