In the eye of the Beholder

Have you ever looked into a strangers eye
Have you ever heard a stranger cry.
Once you have  your heart is caught
They are no longer the stranger you thought.

For the eyes are the center of the soul
Once you are in, your heart is sold.
To the highest bidder the one who caught your eye
Not just any stranger passing by.

But the one that was sent just for you to see
The one that was meant to be.
The waitress, the cashier, the person in the crowd
The quiet one not the one that's loud.

For in silence the eye will make contact
For words from the lips you will  lack.
Look into their eyes stop and smile
Take the time it will be worth your while.
